From the Valiente’s:
Cultural practices such as pruning, weed control, and sensible fertilization based on soil analysis, give permanent employment to some 30 workers, and up to 200 workers during harvest. We use our own nursery to replant old or damaged trees.
The local school was built on a donated land by our family. We are very sensible to the need for rural education on their community. We also provide the workers free land to grow their food crops: Corn, beans and vegetables. We keep part of the farm as pine and oak forest as strategy to diversify income sources.
